The local business community add that little bit extra for Year 11 students.
To support our returning Y11 students through the last part of the academic year the SSPP Business Partnership Group will be adopting groups of Year 11 students.
Linking up with them once a week in form time via a webcam link. The focus will be on ambition, motivation, choices and reassurance. The business group who have previously worked with Y12 includes Lincoln City Football Club, Lindum Group, BG, Inzpire and Chiselwood Construction were keen to make a positive contribution to the wellbeing and aspirations of our Y11 students.
‘It has been fantastic to see that the academy has embraced the support provided by the Enterprise Adviser Network. As a team we have supported the academy to source local businesses to help improve outcomes for students. The adopt a Y11 form concept just shows how collaborative working with the local business community can ensure students begin to understand the world of work. In this really challenging time I am sure the initiative will be great success and inspire the students throughout their final year at SSPP.’
