A trip has been arranged for students studying “A Christmas Carol” for their English Literature GCSE.
Students studying GCSE Drama will also benefit from attending as they need to review a “live-performance” as part of their written GCSE examination next year.
The students will be seeing an original performance of the play by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company. Complete with elegant period costume, song, dance and a beautiful original score, the production brings to life Charles Dickens’ tale of Christmas in Victorian England.
Although we study the book in detail during lessons, seeing the book interpreted as a play will add an extra dimension for the students as they reflect upon the performance.
Date of visit: Friday 16th November 2018:
Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough: Evening Performance.
