St Peter and St Paul is a mixed Catholic Academy, with Specialist Science College status, serving Lincoln and the wider community. There are currently 550 pupils on roll including Sixth Form.
We are a highly successful school with a reputation for high expectations and commitment to the individual child. Pupil performance proves that the majority of our pupils exceed their potential at GCSE and A Level.
OFSTED recognised that our pupils are a credit to the academy and that it is the quality of the relationships between staff and pupils that is having such an impact on the Academy’s progress. Pupil behaviour, both in lessons and within the Academy community is good, and keen attitudes to learning can be seen everywhere.
St Peter and St Paul values and loves the uniqueness of every child as being created in the image of God. Our pupils are wonderful, they are our ambassadors: hard-working, friendly, fun to be with and genuinely pleasant and polite young people.
The pupils at St Peter and St Paul are supported by an enthusiastic, outstanding team of professional staff who are committed and focused on encouraging and challenging our pupils in our care to be the best they can be.
We support parents in their task of developing their children, morally, academically, emotionally and spiritually and recognise that parents expect the best for their child.
At St Peter and St Paul we offer a wide range of opportunities for pupils to achieve beyond their potential. Our pupils leave us prepared to take up their place in 21st Century society, equipped for adult life, having experienced challenge and enrichment within St Peter and St Paul Academy community.
For our pupils examination results are so very important but at St Peter and St Paul we work extremely hard to develop other equally important aspects of life: laughter, fun, joy, celebration, caring for others, an ability to think beyond oneself, an awareness of God and spirituality. We want our pupils to “have life and have it to the full”, qualities that we hope will remain with them throughout their life journey long after leaving our community.
At St Peter and St Paul our extra-curricular activities play an integral part of a young person’s development and all pupils of all ages and abilities are encouraged to profit from a breadth of opportunities available. Every pupil can succeed whatever their talents and abilities. Different pupils have different abilities and aptitudes and we value those differences as well as valuing the unique contribution made by pupils from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Our duty is to provide our pupils with the opportunity to grow and develop their gifts and talents within a strong caring community.
You would find our Academy friendly and inviting with a uniquely warm atmosphere and buzzing learning environment. We try to put our mission as a Catholic Academy into practice each day in the way we work with and treat others.
