Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer
You are invited to make appointments for Year 11 Parents’ Evening on Wednesday 11th January 2022 (4.30 pm until 7.00pm). These meetings will be held in-person in the academy. During these meetings, you will be able to speak with your child’s subject teacher to discuss their progress this academic year.
To make your appointments please login at: https://parents-booking.co.uk/ssppacademy
To login you will need to enter your name, your child’s name, and your child’s date of birth. The login details you enter must match those we have on record for you.
Appointments will be available to book from 5.30 pm on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 until 12pm on Wednesday 11th January and will be made on a first come, first served basis.
After you have made your appointments, you can choose to print or e-mail confirmation. However, if you cannot login, please contact the school office and ask to speak to Miss McGovern.
Please note that the email address field on the login page is only used to send your appointment confirmation. If you have problems logging in, it will not be because of the e-mail address you entered.
You can download a Parent Area guide if you would like some detailed instructions on how to use Parents Booking: https://knowledge.parents-booking.com/downloads/Parent%20Booking%20-%20Parent%20Guide.pdf
We look forward to you joining us for Parents’ Evening.
Mr Penney
Head of Year 11
If you did not attend the Awards’ Evening to collect your exam certificates, you can now attend the academy to collect them.
Students must attend and sign for them unless they provide written consent for someone to collect on their behalf. If someone collects on their behalf they must provide ID on collection.
Please ensure the certificates are kept safely once collected, as if they are lost you will need to contact exam boards for replacements and pay a fee.
These can be collected up until 11am on Friday 16th December when we close for the Christmas break. They can then be collected in the new year after that date.
Thank you.
Please find linked below the information regarding Lincolnshire ‘Holiday Activities and Food’ (HAF) for the Christmas holidays. All students up to the age of 16 who are eligible for Free School Meals are entitled to a free place on this programme. Vouchers will be issued by text and/or email in the next few days to allow parents/carers to book places.
If you have any queries regarding this programme please contact [email protected]
Our UCAS information evening for Parents will be hosted on the 13th of October from 6pm until 7pm.
More information to follow.
Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th July 2023
Due to the overwhelming response to the above visit, we are negotiating for extra places.
Places are being allocated on a first come basis and once they are filled, we will operate a ‘reserves’ list, again on a first come basis.
Until we receive confirmation on the extra places from our tour operator, we cannot activate the ParentPay system for payment, including deposits. Once the system is live, deposits can be made and the deadline for this has been extended to the end of September.
We thank you for your support.
Please email Mrs Sansam at the academy if you require further assistance: [email protected]

Dear Parent/Carer
Following the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Academy will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022, for the funeral. This is in line with guidance from the DFE which states that all settings, which normally close on a Bank Holiday, should do so. The Academy will re-open on Tuesday 20th September 2022, at the usual time. This will allow all members of our school community to pay their respects.
I take this opportunity to express the Academy’s condolences on the death of the Her Majesty and we will pray for the repose of her soul. We will keep her family and all those who mourn her death in our prayers at this sad time.
Yours sincerely,

Mrs C F Hewerdine
Headteacher

In partnership with Anglia Tours, we are planning a 3-day educational visit to the Western Front/ World War 1 Battlefields in both France and Belgium. Initially this is for Year 9 and 10 students, however, available spaces will be offered to other year groups.
The main purpose of the visit is for students to better understand this very poignant time in our history and to support their studies of World War 1 and Trench Warfare. Please note that students do not need to be doing GCSE History to take part in this visit; they should have an interest in it, however.
In the past, this has been an extremely popular visit and students who have participated have been impressed and very moved by their experience.
Please contact Mrs Sansam for further details on 01522 871400 or via email at [email protected]
