Breakfast revision for the GCSE Maths exam was a huge success this morning, with students preparing for the Paper 1 exam.

A reminder to all parents of Year 11 students: Breakfast revision will also take place before Paper 2 on Wednesday 4th June and Paper 3 on Wednesday 11th June.

St Peter and St Paul Voluntary Academy is proud to host the Year 12 Business Showcase Event, a fantastic opportunity for young entrepreneurs to present their business ideas to local professionals and gain valuable feedback.

Renowned business coach and mentor Mark Jarvis has generously dedicated his time to support the students in refining their concepts, offering guidance and insights to help them bring their visions to life.

At the event, student groups will pitch their business ideas to local businesses, receiving expert critiques and advice that will shape the future of their initiatives. In addition to these presentations, attendees can enjoy refreshments and networking opportunities, fostering connections between education and industry.

This showcase is an excellent way for Lincolnshire-based businesses to support the next generation of entrepreneurs—your presence and engagement will make a meaningful difference.

Join us in celebrating innovation, ambition, and the spirit of entrepreneurship!

The showcase will take place on Wednesday 21st May 2025, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm, at The Legends Lounge, Sincil Bank.

There will also be an opportunity for students transferring to St Peter and St Paul Academy to participate in a transition activity day on Tuesday 8th July. On this day students will have an opportunity to meet and work with students from other schools who will be starting St Peter and St Paul Academy in September 2025, as well as meet their tutor and other teachers at the Academy.

The day will run until 3.00 pm, at which time parents will be invited into the Academy to collect pupils. In the evening of 8th July parents will be invited to attend a Parents’ Evening when they will be able to meet their child’s form tutor and other members of staff.

If your child has an EHCP then the SEND Department will contact you directly regarding additional transition days.

We look forward to meeting our new students on 8th July.

On Tuesday, we had our very first Sparx Reader Help for Parents Session. Thank you again for those of you who attended.

If you wish to access the recording of the session and any information on how to support your child with their reading homework, you can use the link below:

Furthermore, if you wish to attend another virtual session or one in person, please complete the Microsoft Forms Survey.

Many thanks for your support with your child’s reading homework.

Last week SSPP hosted students and staff from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. It was brilliant to exchange ideas with colleagues from the Netherlands.

Please take the time to complete this short survey to gauge your interest in a virtual support session on Teams with Mrs Tomlinson about how best to use Sparx Reader and support with your child’s weekly reading homework. The deadline to complete this is Friday, 21st March.
